As others have reported, this unit plays everything and is a bargain for the price. I've had absolutely no problems with it but agree that the remote is not great and that the fast forward/reverse are tricky (so I generally don't bother). Other than those minor flaws, I'm very happy after several weeks of operation.
I bought this player which arrived within 3 days setup was very easy and it played evrything I needed it for and it worked perfectly for a month then the remote control went completly dead so having removed the battery which was found to be ok so I spreyed the battery compartment with switch cleaner refitted the battery and it worked fine I hope that this will help anyone who has had similar problems with the remote control unit the switch cleaner without lubricant is the type to use and can be bought from any electronics shop.
Plays all normal and blu-ray formats I have found so far directly off NTFS hard-drives so you can play very large videos without any issues. Highly recommended. Never froze on me and is very fast listing files and directories.

This is one of the best gadgets I've bought recently, it can play just about every type of format picture or video you can have. I had an old hard drive that could not be powered via the USB connection though so I had to also buy a more up to date hard drive Samsung S2 500Gb, this simply plugs into the Cyclone and reads everything. Does exactly what i wanted - has played everything I have thrown at it.
Would have preferred a full size USB socket but that is a minor gripe - Just get a small bag/pouch to keep all the bits (wires, remote, memory cards etc) in and its perfect for holidays/staying away etc.

I was unsure if the device for the cost would do the job!
It is small, probably smaller than a box of cigarettes.
I have watched both HD and standard definition programs on it, but not tried many of the formats to be honest.
Navigation is quick and responsive I would say.
I do not use the internal storage at all, I plug in a 80GB drive with whatever I have recorded on my Freeview hard drive or from online.
A great little product for the price.
Negative points:
It needs to be plugged in as does not support power over the HDMI cable (which must be purchased separate)
The blue colour symbols on the black remote are hard to see.
Additional plus:
Ideal product for taking on holiday and bring some TV shows \ music with you.
