The item arrived promptly, thank you, Amazon. As well as a Panasonic TV and a Panasonic DVD/HDD recorder I have a Sony four piece hi fi stack with a separate remote for each piece, a total of SIX remotes cluttering up the coffee table. The URC7960 was quickly programmed to operate the Panasonic products as per the instruction book but I had to "teach" it each function on each of the four Sony remotes. However, this does not take very long and now it is done I can operate everything from one remote - bliss! I tried to get it to learn to operate my inset electric coal effect fire but whilst it would switch the fire on it didn't understand the commands to change the coal effect brightness or the heat setting. Shame about this but then that was not what I bought the remote for. Now I am beginning to remember which button to press to operate what I would not be without the remote and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Be aware that it won't always work with some equipment if you try to programme it the easy way but that is no reason to condemn it as less than useful. Just "teach" it each function from a chosen remote, it's not hard work
Have bought it in local store but was so pleased with it that i decided to post a review here. Replaced 4 remotes with ease: 2 tv's, IPTV box and WD TV Live. Also controls a Mac when needed. Learns any control you throw at it and works with no fuss. Comes with no profile (programming code) for things like the Western Digital TV but you can easily "teach" it with the learning function, took about 5 minutes to copy entire WD TV remote (takes quite a lot of keypresses but the process is logical, works flawlessly with visual feedback, and really pays off in the end).
Build quality is quite good, does not feel "cheap" in any way, is a pleasure to use. In fact, it looks much better than it seemed when packaged, sort of grows on you as you use it. Could do without the chrome but the overall design is reassuringly unoffensive.
I was considering a Logitech super-duper remote but at this price, with this quality and functionality, this is a true bargain if you want to stop juggling remotes. Highly recommended.

This product is a first class piece of 'kit'. I stood in amazement when I actuated the info' and all my electronic gear responded . A superb item very well made and works like 'magic'.
Bought it a month ago. Before I had Logitech Harmony 555,which was double the price of this remote, took quiet a while to set it up, was actually pretty smart, but had a display, which broke down after a month, and without a display you could not use the remote properly. and after some time using it blind, remote actually died.
So I decided to go for something cheaper and simplier. And went for this one- One for All Smart Control is easy to set up, Easy to opereate, works with my Sky HD box, Sony Home cinema system and Samsung Plazma TV and . And it is absolute value for money, as I bought it for 22 GBP. No complains so far. Absolutely love it, does its job perfectly.

This was simple to set up with our samsung TV, Virgin media box and Sony DVD. You need to play around a bit with the control to programme certain functions but you can "copy" these from your original remote. Overall a great alternative to 3 remotes!

I've had a few "One for all" remotes in the past and this one is bang up to date.
Controls my; Toshiba TV, Humax PVR, Sony Blu-ray, Cambridge Amp & CD, Cambridge Ipod Dock. I've put all the other remotes in the drawer and have not cheated so far. Presets and learning function all work a treat with clear instruction manual. Smart modes work great.
Build quality is good (not exceptional) The remote looks great and is weighted nicely and has a rubberlised underside which is easy to grip and sits on the table securely, witout falling on the floor when you knock it.
The only minor drawback is that the unit could do with an extra row of 4 dedicated macro buttons as there are not quite enough buttons to go around. I had to compromise a little on this, however I'm still going to award 5*'s as for the price I think this is unbeatable - forget getting an expensive Harmony unless you really need it.
Would definitely recommend.

I was initially a little dismayed to find that there is no built-in support for VCR's (One-For-All probably can't believe that anyone is still using one !), but after receiving some instructions from a very helpful lady in One-For-All's customer services dept.,I was able to program the remote to control all the functions of the VCR.
I am using it to control a Sony TV, a Panasonic VCR, a Panasonic DVD recorder, and a Pioneer DVD player (used as an audio player).
I am inclined to agree with a previous reviewer who felt that the LED's for indicating device selection could do with being a bit brighter, but apart from this little niggle, the URC7960 is an excellent multi-function remote.
Really can't fault this, between the magic function and the codes, I got it set up inside of 10 minutes. It even replaced my windows media centre remote which I was fully expecting to have to manually program. Looks wise I think it's not bad either, certainly this would have been difficult if not impossible to improve on for 20 quid. Would recommend and I may get one for my parents as a Christmas present.

Have had a few "all-in-one" remotes and this is, by far, the best. Unlike some of the others this is SO easy to programme. It nearly does it for you !! Also very good value. When researching, I found the same remote for nearly double this price on other websites. Even controls my iPod dock - Excellent.

I have used other universal remote controls in the past but have them to be a awkward and disappointing compared to the original. The "One for All" URC 7960 is a breath of fresh air; when I opened the packaging I could immediately tell that this was a quality product and after setting it up(the provided instructions were a tad confusing and could have been better)I was able to control all my units with ease - Panasonic TV, Nad amp, Sagem PVR, Sony DVD recorder. Although the product code setup worked well it was very handy to use the additional "learn" facility to reprogram individual buttons. I have not needed to use any of the old remotes since.
