I bought this to replace an older toshiba 32" 720p.
Picture is excellent, features are excellent, the sound is like most tv's.. not great but you can hook it to a bar or amp via the optical out.
The smart features are very good, allowing you to dload a number of apps such as netflix, lovefim, iplayer, itv player, 4od, 5 player and a number of other random progs. You can also use a keyboard/mouse for the included internet browser.
Ohh did i mention it's also wifi and has a lan connection.
Best thing about this tv is it can decode dts, so any of your mkv's will work and you'll get sound too :-)
Has played everything i've thrown at it so far (even raw mpeg2 dvd files)
Another thing i noticed is my raspbmc (connecting to tv via hdmi) will play the audio via the amp (connected to the tv via the optical) I wasn't expecting this and it's a nice surprise.
Ohh another thing (yes there's lots and lots of other things!!) The anynet feature exxentially lets the remote control other devices, such as my humax freesat, raspberry pi (raspbmc) and ps3 natively with no set up.
Features are excellent and awarding it 5 starts with ease.
We bought this to replace a 2013 Panasonic TXL47ET60B LED tv.
So far I couldn't be happier. The picture is far better and the reflective screen plasma tcs are sometimes plagued by is no worse than the Panasonic in our front room (dynamic picture mode).
The picture quality is very good, all the screen modes work as you'd expect and films look much more cinematic than on an LCD/LED and the sound is definitely acceptable - you probably won't feel the need to run out for a soundbar straight away.
A big problem with the tv it replaced was input lag for gaming. The Samsung has no noticeable lag and so far feels up to the task of being suitable for a next gen console too.
The apps and connectivity are great - especially smart view. I'm not that bothered about viewing things from my phone on the tv (which it does) but I am way more interested in getting my tv sent to a phone or tablet. It cuts out all the hassle of other solutions to the same problem.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tv.

great tv for the money it has every thing you need I had this out of the box and up and running in 15 mins easy to set up I am not a tv wizard but know enough smart tv is good also 3d and picture quality on hd and blueray amazing. I connected broadband with a wired connection as it is better for me but it works wireless also spent rest of the day watching youtube on it [ that annoyed my wife ] all in all buy this its worth the money I have always bought Panasonic in the past but this is a good tv. screen is reflective but all plasmas are.sound is good but I have it connected to a 5.1 Samsung 3d blueray home cinema.

I recently moved home and treated myself to a new TV, after comparing prices and specifications I settled for the Samsung PS51F5500 - 51" Plasma Widescreen SMART TV, I'm still working my way through the many options available but so far am very impressed by the TV.
Set up was automatic and without any issues, connecting the TV to the internet via my Wi-fi was easy and hassle free, the TV can download Android Apps, connect to the world wide web and has been surprised by just how easy its been.
Linking a samsung phone to the TV via shareplay was easy and managed to download both music and photos from the phone to the TV, impresive.
The picture is fantastic, the sound is good (contemplating buying a soundbar to enhance the sound) and the price for all this was good, suggest anyone looking for a plasma with alot of options & capabilities then take a look at this TV.
