Goes to show that all the tech reviews of the Nexus 4 which state that there is no HDMI out, whilst technically correct, are in fact most misleading as this device enable HDMI out. It works perfectly and now means that I can watch BBC iplayer, youtube, family movies and photos etc. etc. on my TV. It's a terrific piece of kit and the fact that you do not need a power source is also excellent. The ability to charge the phone by plugging a charger into the micro usb on the adapter is also an excellent idea. I really wish that my Nexus 7 had this technology on board. I don't really understand if this technology is 'better' than HDMI out, which the Nexus 4 otherwise lacks, or not. All I know is that the slimport adapter works perfectly and does the job. Well done to the developers and I wish you every success in rolling this technology out to more devices that otherwise lack HDMI out.

I saw this on a tech blog (can't remember which one) and thought it seemed an interesting idea because I had noted that movies were often cheaper on google play than virgin media on demand. It works perfectly, the pictures delivered appear to be full HD. I have used it to browse the web gallery my wedding photographer sent the wife and me, watch films, and have tested it to see how it handles presenting pdfs because I might start carrying my phone and this cable when going to a client's to present instead of lugging my laptop (and when I know they have an HD screen!).
