If, like me, the recession means you have to start doing your own typing and can now race along at a heart-stopping 10 words a minute, this might just be the gadget for you. I use Express Dictate (NCH software) for digital recording and the the freebie Express scribe for transcribing it. The USB Infinity pedal allows me to pause, rewind, forward etc without taking my hands off the keyboard. It is a sturdy, solid piece of engineering, simplicity itself & truly is plug and play (at least with Express Scribe). Functions of the pedals can be designated within limits. It arrived very promptly, installed within seconds and i've not had a single problem in the 6 weeks I've had it - can fully recommend it.

Brilliant piece of kit ~ literally just plug the USB into your computer, perhaps make a couple of clicks to connect via your transcription software (on my Mac I used the Connection Wizard) and within 1 minute you are up and running. Excellent and hard-wearing too, with a nice long cable.

I bought this product to practice audio typist to increase my typing speed. The first thing I noticed was how user friendly it was to install. I am not a computer wizz and I managed to negotiate the instructions with ease. The pedal is easy to use and can be personalised to your requirements ie fastforward, rewind, review, play etc can be assigned to any pedal in any combination. My only criticism is that its very heavy if you needed to transport it. Otherwise great product.

The Infinity USB foot pedal is a serious piece of equipment and has a real quality feel to it. The Infinity USB foot pedal along with the appropriate transcription software has allowed me to move away from the recording tape system and go digital. The digital method is far superior and I am now able to do transcription work more efficiently.

Just to say that this fully justifies all the five star reviews it has had. I downloaded the free Express Scribe software (one of the other reviewers below has put in a link to this) and plugged in my foot pedal, the set up instructions are really easy.
This makes transcribing audio so much quicker and easier. If you have to do a lot of this sort of work then you will be saving yourself a lot of time with this kit.
I can't praise it enough. This afternoon I have transcribed a large section of audio in around a quarter of the time it would take me to do it normally
I got this for my secretary to start transcribing digital dictation. It was easy peasy to use. And she is a bit of a technophobe.
