I thought this was a little expensive so I tried some of the competion first, some didnt work when they said they should, I returned them, others gave such a bad picture they were not worth it, so I reached into the bottom of my wallet and purchased this one, I was surprised just how good it is.
To set up just plug it in, to use just open your app, I use it on skype, and its great, good picture, good sound no complaints.
It sits on top of the TV but is not so noticable in everyday use, very few people have asked what it is so I dont think its very intusive.

Well it arrived nicely packed. Works well and I liked it that one can change the angle of viewing from the handset. Price wise I at first thought it was expensive but it worked without fuss and delivers what was expected. So well pleased! The audio picks up voices ok no complaints from relation on video messaging which make a change. Amazon was the best price I found so saved a few bob.

We bought this for using with Skype on our Panasonic TV. It's small, discreet and easy to fit to the TV and is very unobtrusive when fitted. The pan, tilt and zoom function is controlled by the TV remote.

Works well. Beware! If you do a reset to get your fumbling camera adjustments back to normal, this camera will appear to be broken. In that case all you need to do is attach it to your laptop running Skype, Go into the Skype settings and find somewhere in that lot an option to reset the camera to "auto exposure" (which your TV might not possess in its Skype options). Remove the camera from laptop and plug it back into your TV. Hey presto, you wont need to return it to Amazon (dont mess with it again!)
I brought this for my 2012 Panasonic tv. Plugged in to tv's USB and it worked first time no problem. Has good picture quality and sound is pretty good as well.

I wanted to use my Panasonic Viera TX-L42E30B LCD/LED HD 1080p TV - 2011 model with the TY-CC20W Skype Camera kit. It is advertised on Amazon with a warning that it is suitable for 2012 tvs' only and gives a list of compatible tvs. (My tv is not one of them). The reviews on this product state that as long as your tv has the latest software (last updated about July of this year - version 1.111) the camera will work. Well I took a chance - the unit arrived and worked perfectly, straight out of the box. Very pleased although, for what it is, it is very expensive. Does show the value of customer reviews though.
