This piece of kit is absolutely amazing. It has been pre-upgraded with Android 4.2.2 firmware. You need to have a wireless keyboard and mouse or a fly touch air mouse keyboard to operate. You have all of the access to the Android market applications although you don't get multi touch like you would on a tablet. The device has 2 USB ports and can operate through a powered hub things like external powered hard drive and skype is available for use through the Logitech C170 web cam. XMBC media centre can be downloaded for it from the web but not from the Android market. It has more than ample 8GB storage space (Unformatted) and works with any good quality 32GB micro SD card. I find it particularly useful with the Kingsoft office application which makes the unit a micro sized powerpoint animal without the need for an expensive laptop and projector. The only point though is that it will not recognise a UK Keyboard but you can get all the £ signs etc from the onscreen pop up keyboard instead. You need to have a 2 pin round power adaptor to use this piece of equipment. A very good alternative to having to connect a PC directly to your TV. Very good fun device with a serious purpose.

It worked straight out of the box, set up bluetooth keyboard using a wired keyboard, then set up wifi no problem, signal strength from wifi router 100% 30ft away, I then had a minor problem and pushed ctrl alt del, big mistake!!! don't ever push ctrl alt del it messes up everything, in the end I had to reset to factory settings and away we went again, downloaded loads of apps all worked perfectly including catchup tv app, it stream movies from my nas no problem, Utube works perfectly, what can I say, brilliant piece of kit, JUST DON'T PUSH CTRL ALT DEL EVER, unit doesn't get hot but the power supply does and its rated at 2amps at 5v, for a switch mode psu to get hot it must be operating near maximum output so I will be investing in decent quality 5amp switch mode just to be safe.

The power supply that comes with the unit is crap, my advise would be to throw
it in the bin, I purchased a new psu from Maplin code:N31FU, About £13 but its worth the risk of it not going up in smoke and burn the house down,the new psu doesnt even get warm and is only rated at 500ma more the the supplied PSU, all the little glitches and random shutdowns have gone since fitting the new PSU and Im now happy to leave it permanently connected, the only other problem I have come across is you cannot disconnect the power plug and then reconnect it straight away, the internal regulator shuts down after about 5 seconds if you do, leave it for 5 minutes then reconnect, better still just leave it switched on and close it down using the on off switch at the bottom of the screen when its running an app, I think I'm there now, all the problems are ironed out and I can look forward to many hours of fun and games.

Wanted a cheap android stick to use as a thin client. This works great, and came with Android 4.2.2, Flash support and root access out of the box. Good BT and Wifi reception, and comes with hdmi and mini USB adaptors. Unfortunately no box, and a Euro plug rather than GB. The one I received is an 'original' mk808b, for those thinking of flashing a custom ROM.
